Louise and I worked together at Franke for 5 years, where she initially managed HR for the UK and then in an expanded role managing HR across all of the Cluster Businesses.
Louise rolled out several new initiatives during her time at Franke, driving employee engagement and ensuring that, in line with our vision, people remain at the heart of everything we do. She adapted well to the international dimension of the expanded cluster role and was able to grasp the cultural differences and legal frameworks across different countries.
One of Louise's greatest strengths is in planning and delivering training... across a wide range of business and development topics - highly recommended.
Louise worked as Head of HR during times of transition at Urbis. She led on improving customer service and recruitment patterns, and then managed the process of redundancy during the close-down of the company.
Subsequently, I have used her to develop up-to-date HR policies that fit the needs of the company rather than being purely cut and pasted.
Throughout these processes, she has been highly effective, able to discuss honestly what the company needs and develop plans to match that. She is efficient, diligent and always responds quickly in hitting deadlines. I can only recommend her services.
As a senior HR professional, Louise supported the team at Urbis through periods of development, change and transition. Louise provided full tactical support to the management team including initial recruitment, induction and appraisals to performance management, improvement plans and contract terminations. The Urbis team comprised of a wide range of disciplines. Financial management, artistic curation, customer services, event management, technical support and hospitality . Louise demonstrated her ability to work across the demands of the various teams whilst maintaining a high standard of compliance with HR legislation, service delivery and best practice.
At a strategic level, Louise gave invaluable input and direction as the Urbis mission developed. Often working to complex and tight deadlines, with local national and international partners, Louise always delivered a very high standard of HR advice and support.
As Urbis closed to host The National Football Museum, Louise supported the departing team through complex and often difficult redundancy process. She maintained her professionalism throughout that process, enabling a smooth transition and handover for the new team.
I worked with Louise at a previous organisation for over six years where Louise was my HR support. Throughout, Louise demonstrated a clear passion for training but I would also add that her generalist HR knowledge and more importantly attitude, aptitude and sense of fun made her a joy to work with and I have no hesitation in recommending Louise to anyone looking for the services of a HR professional.
Louise and I worked together at Urbis from 2006 to 2010.
As Head of HR, Louise was a member of the SMT and worked alongside all the management there providing HR support and direction, and also worked with the CE to deliver the Urbis vision.
Management roles at Urbis were very hands on, and Louise dealt with a very varied work force from weekly part time staff to creative staff and senior management. Louise is capable of delivering complete support and advice at every level.
Louise has a good understand of employment legislation and used that to deliver and develop the Urbis HR business plan.
Louise is also a very effective trainer, and ran a comprehensive training programme.
From a personal point of view, as an FD, Louise worked alongside finance and payroll and had an excellent working relationship with myself and my team.
There were many other areas that Louise worked in – working with external partners, dealing with disciplinary, performance and absence, redundancies, to name but a few, and I always knew that I could rely on Louise’s professional integrity and support.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Louise to any organisation or individual.
